Trading holiday on MCX in 2020…!!

We all have heard about the stock market, where we trade the stocks. Similarly, there is also a commodity market, where traders can buy, sell and trade various commodities. They can be traded at current or future date. In India, commodity trading was started way before in any country. Currently, it can be done only through future contracts. In general, commodities are classified into four types mainly metals, energy, agriculture, livestock and meat. In India, there is mainly six major commodity exchange, which is as listed below:  

  1. Multi Commodity Exchange 
  2. National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange 
  3. National Multi Commodity Exchange 
  4. Indian Commodity Exchange 
  5. Ace Derivatives Exchange  
  6. The Universal Commodity Exchange

Out of all these Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) and National Commodity and Derivative Exchange (NCDEX) are most important. Like trading holiday in the respective stock market exchange. Commodity trading exchange too has trading holidays. The exchange remains closed on trading holidays apart from Saturday and Sunday. Let’s look at the trading holidays in 2020.

The timing of the morning session begins from 10:00 Am to 5 P.M, whereas the evening session begins from 5:00 PM to 11: 30 PM/11:55 PM. The Muhurat trading timing will be notified by the exchange subsequently.
