An Aadhaar Number is a unique code that is comprised of 12 digits; The system is developed for the targeted delivery of services from the ‘Government of India’. A person’s Aadhaar includes:

To verify your Registered Mobile Number. Here: 

Step 1: Go to the website of Aadhar: www.uidai.gov.in & log-in 

Step 2Under the ‘Aadhar Services’ tab; Select the ‘Mobile number/Verify email’ tab 

Step 3Fill-in your 12 digit Aadhar number; registered mobile number; email address & security code at the screen 

Step 4A One Time Password would be sent to the registered mobile number. 

Step 5Click ‘Verify OTP’ 

Step 6Once the verification code is DONE; you will get a GREEN TICK with a message stating ‘The mobile number ********* matches with our records’.  

First-Time Mobile Registered with Aadhar 


Step 1: Download & print the Aadhar update form from the official website of UIDAI & furnish the details you wish to update or add. If not online, you can get the form from the nearby Aadhar center.  

Step 2: It would be better to mention only the mobile number that needs to be updated. Submit other copies of documents like Pan card, passport, Aadhar card, etc. Connect with the concerned officer regarding the same. 

Step 3After the process of submission, your biometrics will be cross verified with the ones updated during the submission of Aadhar card application. 

Step 4When the verification is done, you’ll be provided with an acknowledgement slip & the updating will be done within 5-10 days.
