India's Top Fund Managers in 2019

Wealth creation is one of the toughest jobs in the world. It’s the role of the fund manager to create wealth. The Indian equity market scaled new peaks in 2019 surging about 13 percent, despite having some few headwinds. This year was quite tough for various mutual fund managers, as the economy has been slowing down from the successive quarter. Even though, few fund managers have managed to deliver healthy returns.

The investing approach of these fund managers was quite different from the traditional one. Looking at the climate of uncertainty in the economy, these fund managers used downside protection. Instead of picking hot stocks or multi-bagger stocks, the approach was to pick slow and steady growth stocks to minimize errors.  According to the data available from the money control, more than 13 stocks emerged as favorites among Portfolio Management schemes as most of them have strong fundamentals.
